Dragonball: Evolution

Based on the popular Japanese manga created by Akira Toriyama, whose work spawned best selling graphic novels, video games, and a phenomenally successful television series. The live-action adventure centers on a team of warriors, each of whom possesses special abilities. Teenager Goku (Chatwin) must find Master Roshi (Chow) and gather all seven dragonballs before evil Lord Piccolo (Marsters) does so that he can prevent him from taking over the world. Unfortunately pic relies on martial arts action and uneven, unimpressive CGI. Only saved by a few entertaining fight scenes, which basically relegate it to a not-so-good video game. A complete waste of Hong Kong legend Chow Yun Fat's talent with horrible dialogue and enough cliches to choke a dragon.
