Picking up right where the first movie left off, Chev (Statham) survives a climactic plunge to his most certain death on the streets of Los Angeles, only to be kidnapped by a mysterious Chinese mobster. Three months later, he wakes up to discover his nearly indestructible heart has been surgically removed and replaced with a battery-operated ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity in order to work. While he attends to that, he's also on a chase through L.A. to get his heart back. Takes over-the-top to a new level, as only the narrowest of target audiences will find the unrelenting violence, blood, nudity, and impossible action sequences the least bit entertaining.
