Beginning directly where the first film leaves off, Azumi (Ueto) and Nagara (Ishigaki) continue their pursuit of their assigned target Masayuki Sanada (Nagasawa). He hires the Koga Ninja clan, a band of specialized assassins to take them out before they can reach him. The first film is required viewing for this one as there are no flashbacks or explanations given. Fans of "Kill Bill" should look for Chiaki Kuriyama (she played Go Go) as one of the ninja super assassins.
