Midnight Mary
Orphaned Mary (Young) gets involved with a gang of thieves and becomes gangster Leo's (Cortez) moll. She falls for wealthy playboy Tom (Tone) and tries to go straight but her past catches up with her. We see Mary's life in flashbacks as she awaits trial for murder. It may be a pre-Hays Code film but that doesn't mean there can't be a (somewhat unlikely) happy ending.
