Beautifully photographed in black and white, this debut feature by Otheguy is a story of loneliness and isolation. Alvaro (Roman) works cutting reeds on a marshy Argentine island. The community's main contact with the outside world comes courtesy of Turu (Valenzuela), the captain of the Lion water taxi. Alvaro is even more isolated by the fact that he is gay and Turu is openly hostile although there's more than anger causing the tension between the two men. Spanish with subtitles.
