Behind That Curtain
Charlie Chan (Park) makes a brief appearance as a Scotland Yard detective in this melodrama. Wealthy Eve Mannering (Moran) marries rotter Eric Durand (Strange) and they go off to India. Soon unhappy, Eve is eager to leave Eric behind when old friend John Beetham (Baxter) assures her of his love. They travel to San Francisco with a murderous Eric in pursuit. Boris Karloff makes an appearance in his first sound picture as a nameless servant.
