The sixth Potter adventure lays the groundwork for the final two films (since Rowling's seventh book is being broken down into two parts) with Harry (Radcliffe) accompanying mentor Dumbledore (Gambon) to recruit retired potions professor Horace Slughorn (Broadbent) back to Hogwarts because Dumbledore wants to know how former star pupil Tom Riddle became Voldemort. Meanwhile, reptilian Severus Snape (Rickman) becomes allied with Voldemort recruit Draco Malfoy (Felton). Teen hormones also rage when Harry finds himself interested in his best friend Ron's sister, Ginny (Wright), while Hermione (Watson) pines for an oblivious Ron (Grint), who's dating Lavender Brown (Cave). As usual, Radcliffe gets stuck with the part of the rather dull straight man with a very colorful (and large) crowd surrounding him.
