Hsiao Kang (Kang-sheng Lee) has a lot of anger issues, and argues a lot with his parents. His mother believes he's the reincarnation of a minor Chinese god called Norcha. His father's taxi is vandalized by a pair of petty thieves who live a fairly pitiful life. Hsiao becomes obsessed with them and hunts them down to gain revenge for the slight. Viewers who are unfamiliar with Chinese mythology (or at least the deity in question) will miss much of the subtext of this film.
