Cumming goes for high hysterics. Prissy music instructor John Vandermark (Cumming) is happy to rent a room to hunky struggling writer Sebastian (Boreanaz), who is equally happy to take advantage of John's obvious personal interest. But John eventually realizes he's being used and snaps, accidentally killing Sebastian. Then John decides to pass off Sebastian's book as his own work, becomes a success, and finds the guilt overwhelming.
