The Pink Panther 2
Martin returns as the bumbling French inspector Clouseau to stop an international artifacts thief who's out for France's prized Pink Panther diamond. Along for the wacky ride is his new assistant Nicole (Mortimer), who's head-over-heels (literally) for the inspector. John Cleese replaces Kevin Kline as Dreyfus, Clouseau's boss, with too many other stars vying for screen time with not enough material for any of them. The sight gags and language barrier jokes are still there, and much like the first, Martin never lives up to his potential.
