Coraline

A stop-motion animated fantasy based on the novel by Neil Gaiman. Young Coraline Jones (Fanning), not a particularly nice little girl, discovers a secret door in her family's new home that leads to a bizarre, alternate version of her own life. Threatened by her new, strange parents to trap her in this "Alice in Wonderland" nightmare forever, she must then plan her escape. Director Selick suggests this creepy chiller is intended for "brave children." Shot in stereoscopic 3-D, which unfortunately doesn't translate well off the big screen.

Animation can support films as diverse as Kung Fu Panda, Waltz With Bashir, and Coraline, an impressive 3D exploration of childhood ...Read More
