Credited with inspiring both "Kill Bill" and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and directed by veteran filmmaker King Hu for the Shaw Brothers, this flick features equally legendary Chinese actress Cheng Pei-Pei as Golden Swallow, a female warrior disguised as a man hired to find the governor's kidnapped son. After a bar fight, she is joined in her quest by a kung fu master called the Drunken Cat, who has business of his own with the kidnappers. While it isn't the nonstop action film many classic kung fu movies are, Cheng Pei-Pei is a far more accomplished martial artist than some actors of the time.
