Long ago some lady named Mary Worth was impregnated by a priest and refused to fess up who the father was. Apparently the standard punishment for Puritan women who get pregnant out of wedlock was to have their face carved off in front of a mirror. Centuries later, partygoers make a game of Mary's plight: write your friends' names on a mirror while chanting her name and she pops out and kills you, all because she's "vengeful." Apparently charades isn't the crowd-pleaser it once was.
