Four Star Wars fanatics who've strayed since high school reunite over the news that their buddy Linus has cancer. Set in 1999, a few months before the release of "Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace," the posse decides that Linus needs to see this movie before things take a turn for the worse. They set out on a road trip to Skywalker Ranch with the intention of stealing an unreleased copy from George Lucas himself. Along the way they pick up hot comic book fanchick Zoe (Bell), run into William Shatner, and fall in love again with Carrie Fisher. Unfortunately, a great cast can't save an uninspired script that takes its dopey concept too seriously. Weinstein's insistence on removing the cancer subplot stalled post-production for almost two years.
