Longtime platonic friends Zack (Rogan) and Miri (Banks), in desperate need of quick cash, decide to, as the title warns, make their own skin flick. Rather than sexy or smutty, they aim for goofy and ridiculous, particularly when converting "Star Wars" to "Star Whores." And, since this is actually a well-disguised romantic comedy, Zack and Miri eventually find they may be more than friends. Luckily, their on-screen chemistry keeps the perfect balance of nasty and nice. Rogan's signature crude charm is still fresh despite often-inconsistent Kevin Smith writing and directing in place of usual suspect Judd Apatow.

Kevin Smith does a wonderful job showing the human side (pardon the pun) of the porn industry. Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks have a wonderful chemistry together, and it shines through. The supporting cast is great and the movie has a wonderfully touching love story.
