Fictionalized version of producer Art Linson's memoirs follows two weeks in the course of A-list Hollywood producer Ben (DeNiro), who is suddenly caught up in a massive career snag. His Sean Penn movie is tanking at test screening, and now, Bruce Willis refuses to lose a few pounds or shave his beard for a new part. It's funny at times, but unlike the exaggerated, flashy television series "Entourage" or Altman's satire "The Player," this realistic behind-the-scenes look at Hollywood unconsciously appeals mostly to those involved in the industry. However, DeNiro's sharp, subtle performance is a welcome return to more grounded material, after a long stretch of goofy or over-hyped roles. *CNT Language, some violent images, sexual content and some drug material.
