Aging, bitter, unemployed former rocker Robert "Fish" Fishman (Wilson) gets roped into a drumming gig with his teenage nephew's rock band (aptly named A.D.D.). Fish schools the adolescents in all things rock and A.D.D. gains notoriety, eventually landing an opening gig for Fish's former band, Vesuvius, as headliner. Fish needs to grow up in order to impress A.D.D. bandmate Curtis' (Geiger) hot single mom (Applegate) and outdo Vesuvius. Unapologetically retro and definitely reminiscent of "School of Rock," with the requisite immature gags you'd expect, but plenty fun nonetheless. Hader steals the movie as a slimy manager. Bonus: Dumped Beatles drummer Peter Best cameos.
