Now that Santiago (Becker) has gained experience with the Newcastle United football (soccer) team, he gets transferred to superstar club Real Madrid. There he's reunited with his old friend Gavin (Nivola), who's thinking about retirement (and some guy named Beckham, who's got a cameo). But with success comes the expansion of Santiago's ego, which alienates fiancee Roz (Friel), among others.
