The fifth sequel takes its cues from the syndicated TV series rather than the original films, although the parameters of the myth change once again to conform to the confines of mindless action. Duncan MacLeod (Paul) learns that the Source--the cosmic dimension that resulted in the first immortal--has been located. Only the mutated immortal (Solimeno) who guards the spot won't let anyone near without a fight.
