Ghost Town
Dentist Bertram Pincus (Gervais), an unmarried, friendless, and overall grumpy guy, is granted the ability to hang out with ghosts after momentarily dying during a colonoscopy. A gift or a curse, he's not sure, but either way he finds it incredibly annoying. Enter Frank Herlihy (Kinnear), a man cheating on his girlfriend with his yoga instructor, who is hit by a bus. Frank desperately pleads with his new supernatural middleman to find his girlfriend Gwen (Leoni) and let her know that he's sorry. Of course, as despicable as Bertram may be, he and Gwen fall in love, to the endless frustration of helpless Frank. A light comedy, carried and saved by its performances, especially the brilliant and effortless Gervais.
