Lifelong pals and business partners Alice (Woodward) and Charlotte (Bates) clash when Alice's married son William (Hauser) sparks up an affair with Charlotte's daughter Andrea (Lathan), emptying the family closets of all its skeletons. Meanwhile, Andrea's dense husband Chris (Dunbar) continues to ask William for start-up money to open a construction business, while Andrea's sister Pam (Henson) and her husband Ben (Perry) can only stand back and watch the nutty circus go by. Despite criticism, Perry's cheap, melodramatic soap opera formula shows no sign of improving or appealing to any sense of artistry. Notable for the first Perry movie to treat a white character as more than a "white character."
