It Happened on 5th Avenue
Mysterious hobo Aloyious T. McKeever (Moore) makes his home in the vacant 5th Ave. mansion of wealthy Michael O'Connor (Ruggles), who's gone south for the winter. It's Christmas and McKeever plays Santa to evicted war veteran Jim Bullock (DeFore) and his friends. Runaway Trudy O'Connor (Storm) returns home and lets everyone stay, but then her father shows up. Michael decides to pass himself off as the new butler so he can figure out what's going on but when the inhabitants realize who he is, they hope he'll remember what happened to that guy Scrooge and change his hard-hearted ways.
