One Missed Call

A young girl named Yoko receives a telephone message from 72 hours in the future, hearing herself in her last moments alive. The phone says the call comes from Yoko's own number, and sure enough 72 hours later she's dead. Investigating her friend's death, Yumi finds that Yoko isn't the only one to receive these calls. A vengeful spirit has been creeping onto people's cell phones, and killing the numbers listed in their internal phone books. As Yumi struggles to find out why the killings are occurring, it begins to look like she herself is somehow involved. A surprisingly straightforward Japanese horror film, considering the director is Takashi Miike, usually known for more surreal works.
