This unauthorized bio of Canadian super-singer Celine Dion starts with her childhood in Quebec (although basically ignoring the fact that she's French-Canadian and started her career singing in French) and then marches through her climb up the showbiz ladder, including her meeting with manager Rene Angelil. In what passes for scandal, Dion has to hide her romantic involvement with the married Rene until he gets a divorce; after that, the flick hurries through various career highlights including her successful showcase in Las Vegas.
