The List

Good vs. evil, but it can't get very intense with that rating. After Renny's (Jacobsen) father suddenly dies, the only son is surprised that the majority of his father's wealth has been left to a mysterious trust called the Covenant List of South Carolina, Ltd. When Renny investigates, he meets Jo Johnston (Burton), whose deceased father was also a member. The current head is the somewhat malevolent Desmond Larochette (McDowell), who tells them that the List dates back to the end of the Civil War and only male heirs are allowed to assume their father's place. But the more Renny and Jo learn, the less they like what's going on. Based on the novel by Robert Whitlow.
