The acting's poor but the situations are still relevant. British pop star Steve Shorter (debut of singer Jones) is immensely popular but also easily manipulated and exploited. In this nightmare future oddity, the government decides to use Steve as a symbol of national unity and conformity. Artist Vanessa (model Shrimpton in her only film role) becomes Steve's lover and makes him see how he's been used so he'll stage a social revolt.
