Blake (Firth) returns to the town where he was born to reconnect with his dying father (Broadbent), realizing it's too late to say the things he's wanted to say for so long. Told in episodes, with flashbacks to a past when the two would go camping together and dad was teaching son to drive. Director Tucker tells this sad story with lush landscape photography and a melodramatic score, often framing the characters in mirrors, as if they're only reflecting, and not truly there. It all works; it's just not very pleasant.
