The Edge of Heaven

Intertwining story focusing on six very different characters bouncing into each other across countries. Yeter, a devout Muslim and working prostitute, is taken in as a roommate by a lonely john named Ali, but soon is forced into sex slavery. Her daily torture eases after meeting Ali's son Nejat, a German-speaking professor. Unexpectedly, Yeter dies and Nejat takes it upon himself to travel to Turkey in search of Yeter's lost daughter. An excellent cast holds it all together, while director Akin smoothly transitions from story to story.
