Prairie Fever

Grieving the death of his wife, former sheriff Preston Biggs (Sorbo) has become a drunk. Needing money to pay his debts, Biggs takes a job transporting several rejected mail-order brides said to be suffering from "prairie fever" (or mental illness) to the train depot in Carson City. Meanwhile, card cheat Olivia (Allman) has dumped partner Monte (Henriksen) and stolen their money. Needing a way out of town, she takes a place with Biggs. The women turn out to have been abused and Olivia is a calming influence. They're trailed by some outlaws with a grudge against Biggs and Olivia hasn't seen the last of Monte either.
