Classic crime thriller deserves to be rediscovered. Aging French gangster Abel Davos (Ventura) has been hiding out in Italy for years with his wife and sons. Deciding he wants to move back to Paris, Davos agrees to pull off a payroll heist with an old pal in order to finance his return, but the getaway is botched. So Davos tries calling in some favors from his former gang, who are reluctant to disturb their own lives. Instead, they hire Erik (Belmondo) to handle things, though Davos is wary of the respectful new kid. French and Italian with subtitles.
