A number of (then-)popular musical performers (Peppy and Peanuts, Gene Rodgers, Mitchell & Lytell) as well as animated cartoons from Dave Fleisher pop up in this oddball combo of music and drama from Republic Pictures. Betty Moody (Drew) and her boyfriend Tim (Arlen) try to snap her wealthy father R.P. (Watson) out of his melancholia by having every performer they know from the clubs do their act and make him smile. Nothing works until Mrs. Moody remembers that R.P. once wanted to be a cartoonist, which brings in Fleischer's efforts. Doesn't make any sense but it's nostalgic fun.
