A decade after the first movie and six years since the TV series ended its run, the dynamic paranormal-investigating duo of Mulder (Duchovny) and Scully (Anderson) are drawn back to their FBI roots. While investigating a string of bizarre, though not particularly supernatural murders, they are prodded along by a disgraced priest (played by an unexpectedly low-key Connolly) and his seemingly psychic visions. The X-philes audience will enjoy them back in action, but will likely miss those wacky aliens.
