Apatow produced this raunchy arrested male development comedy that stars (and was written by) second-banana Segel. Slacker couch potato Peter is an underachieving L.A. composer of TV music who's devastated when he's dumped by ambitious starlet hottie girlfriend Sarah (Bell). The woebegone Peter eventually decides to vacation at a Hawaiian resort but--ta-da!--finds Sarah and her new beau, self-absorbed Brit rocker Aldous Snow (Brand), are also guests. Despite frequent humiliations, Peter sticks it out, supported by brunette beauty Rachael (Kunis) and various odd hotel encounters. Segel is game since he gets naked (twice) and does a lot of crying and moping, but you're more likely to say "get over it already" than be amused.
I honestly rented this movie not expecting much - perhaps some chuckles over a couple hours... But I was very surprised at how funny this movie turned out to be! Great dialogue, some outstanding characters (Russell Brand's character really steals the show!) and lots of fun!
