Appealing family film. Awkward 15-year-old Moondance (Panabaker) lives with her eccentric mom Gelsey (Loughlin) and expects to have an uneventful summer. Then she finds pinto pony Checkers has jumped his paddock fence, so she returns him to ranch owner Dante Longpre (Johnson). Convinced that Checkers is a champion jumper just waiting for his chance, Moondance then convinces Dante to train her and Checkers for an upcoming competition.
