Jumper
Picked-on kid David (Christensen) discovers that he has the ability to teleport at will, and he uses his gift to flit around the world, rob banks, and basically do what he pleases, including pursuing his childhood crush Millie (Bilson). Enter Roland (Jackson), a member of a mysterious group that hunts and kills "jumpers" like David. Heavy action fails to cover up the weak plot and David's brattiness. Loosely based on a series of young adult novels by Steven Gould.

In order to be really special, you need to have super powers. Everyone else in the world is a chump. Just ask Hayden C - or any of the characters he's ever played. But according to this movie, if you become too special, people will want to kill you.
This action film is diverting enough. The overly produced jumping effects create a bit more confusion than they need to. I spent most of the action sequences trying to figure out what just happened - I gave up on trying to figure out what was happening while it was happening. There is some fun in there. I see potential for a Jumper television series. Not a series I would want to watch, but the mythology of this story leaves room for more exploration. It is only a matter of time... and space... or both... or something.
