A unique blend of archival footage, vocal reenactment, and rotoscope animation recounts the infamous trial of eight anti-war protesters following the 1968 Democratic National Convention, along with the chaos surrounding the case. An unconventional and fresh take on the documentary form, almost as radical as its subjects. Rather than being set to the music of the heroes of the day, like Dylan or CSN, contemporary artists provide the soundtrack, going as far as having Rage Against the Machine covering "Kick Out the Jams" during footage of the MC5 performing the original live during the protests.
