On a mission to spread the ashes of a dead husband, three middle-aged women hit the open road in a 1966 Bonneville, driving from Idaho to California. Along the way they laugh about the good old days, cry about car trouble, and connect all the dots required of a formulaic road trip flick. Bates, Lange, and Allen are excellent, but ultimately wasted on a script that's lacking surprise and running on fumes from the start.
