The Eye

Sydney Wells (Alba) is a concert violinist who has been blind since a childhood firecracker accident. As an adult, she undergoes a corneal transplant and promptly begins seeing ghouls, fire, premonitions of death, and eventually the image of the cornea donor (Romero), who it seems is trying to communicate something important through her eyes. Naturally her doctor and everyone else around her assume she is merely struggling with her transition to the sighted world; boy, are they wrong. Another ho-hum Hollywood re-make of a popular Asian formula horror film, but Alba fans will appreciate the tight, lingering shots of her lovely face and her obligatory shower scene.
