The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep
The water horse turns out to be the Loch Ness Monster and this charming family film explains how it got into that Scottish loch. Lonely young Angus (Etel) is living with his stern housekeeper mum (Watson) and sister Kirstie (Xi) on a Scottish estate while dad is off fighting in WWII. Angus finds an egg on the beach that hatches into a cute, mischievous critter Angus names Crusoe that soon grows to mammoth size. So he must secretly be transported to the loch under the noses of snooty British soldiers stationed on the property. Visual effects are good. Based on the novel by Dick King-Smith.
