In this painfully sappy romantic drama, happily marrieds Holly (Swank) and Gerry (Butler) soon aren't so happy when Gerry dies of a brain tumor. Ah, but good ol' Gerry had enough time to plot out his widow's life for the next year--sending her a series of letters with various instructions to, you know, get out there and live! Kudrow and Gershon are gal pals while Connick and Morgan are potential new romances. Swank is game but Butler looked a lot more comfortable in leather and muscles in "300."

I knew this movie would make me cry, but I don't remember the last time I practically sobbed through a whole film. I would watch this again, if only to forward to Jeffrey Dean Morgan with an Irish accent!
