Nine-year-old Seamus (newcomer Flynn) is terminally ill. Inspired by the story of Saint Columcille, he sets off in a rowboat to find God and ask for a miracle. When Seamus meets wounded Darry (Brolly) and teenaged runaway James (Travers), the unlikely trio decides to stay together and help each other. Touching but not maudlin story; beautiful Irish scenery.
