Saw 4

John/Jigsaw (Bell) is at it again in this bloody mesh of soft-core porn and horror that "Saw" fans have come to expect from director Bousman, this time doling out his special brand of moral murder from the afterlife. At the autopsy, a tape recorder is found in John's stomach echoing the killer's words and setting the scene for the fourth installment as his murder-machines continue all that yucky butchering in his absence. Flashbacks are thrown in between the gore and the (ahem) plot, offering glimpses into just what made this formerly successful and previously normal guy into the film franchise he is today. Pop the corn and settle in if you must, but this "Saw" ends up being about as sharp as a butter knife.
