The Heartbreak Kid
In the hands of the increasingly uninspired Farrelly brothers, this lame remake of the 70s film about an unlikable putz who marries too quickly and finds the real girl of his dreams on his honeymoon turns into yet another showcase of gross-out jokes and Stiller-style neuroses. He plays unsympathetic Eddie, who's desperately trying to get out of his marriage to sexpot Lila (Akerman) so he can woo nice girl Miranda (Monaghan). Portrays none of the original's wit or bite, and Stiller blows what little chance the movie has with a by-the-numbers, unappealing performance.
