Red Road
Debut feature for Brit helmer Arnold heightens suspense but fumbles the ending. Widowed Jackie (Dickie) works for a private security firm monitoring cameras that maintain surveillance on a rough North Glasgow neighborhood. She becomes obsessed watching ex-con Clyde (Curran) and his friends, who live in the decrepit Red Road housing estate. She contrives to meet him but it turns out Jackie has specific reasons for her interest in Clyde and they aren't going to make him happy.
