The Situation
Slack pacing and a colorless romantic triangle doom this Iraqi War story to boredom. Journalist Anna (Nielsen) is working in Baghdad. Her friend with benefits is American intelligence agent Dan (Lewis). Iraqi photographer Zaid (Hamada) is in love with her although he struggles with their cultural differences. When a close contact of Anna's is killed in an apparent political assassination, Anna and Zaid want to break the story but leads are elusive and they find themselves being manipulated by various factions--American and Iraqi. English and Arabic with subtitles.
