Branagh sets this version of Shakespeare's romantic fantasy in 18th-century Japan with a group of Europeans who live in a trade colony. Because of a family conflict, Rosalind (Howard) and her entourage are forced to flee into the enchanted forest of Arden. Disguising herself (fetchingly unconvincingly) as a boy, Rosalind then proceeds to confuse the heck out of would-be love interest Orlando (Oyelowo). Kline is along as the melancholy Jacques with the "all the world's a stage" speech.
