Crazy Love

Documentary tells of the bizarre romance of Bronx-born ambulance-chasing attorney Burt Pugach and a stunning younger woman, Linda Riss, who breaks things off when she discovers he is married. Her departure pushes the obsessive Pugach over the edge, and he contracts three wiseguys to throw acid in her face, disfiguring and partially blinding her. Somehow the strength of attraction wins out, unthinkably bringing Burt and Linda together again. The film includes interviews with the couple, old friends, and reporters who covered the case as well as news footage and photographs. This is way too weird to be made up.
