Poodle Springs
In 1963, Philip Marlowe (Caan) has a wealthy young wife (Meyer) and is living in Palm Springs. Bored, he decides to get back into the PI biz and is soon dealing with land swindlers and dead bodies (and a confusing plot) that lead to a political conspiracy. Raymond Chandler died before finishing his novel and his estate eventually hired Robert B. Parker to complete it from Chandler's outline.
