The Ape

In search of solitude as he struggles to write his first great novel, Harry (Franco, also debuting as writer and director) leaves his wife and child for a studio apartment in NYC, where he is shocked to find that an ape already lives there--one that talks and wears a gaudy Hawaiian t-shirt. He somehow serves as Harry's inspiration despite stooping to lowbrow jokes and gags such as throwing poop.
