Stephanie Daley

Disturbing talky drama with flashbacks depicting what happened to a pregnant teen. 16-year-old Stephanie (Tamblyn) gives birth on a school ski trip and is brought up on criminal charges when the baby is found dead. She claims not to have known she was pregnant and that the infant was stillborn. Forensic psychologist Lydie Crane (Swinton) is called in to examine Stephanie, but the situation may be too close for Lydie to be objective. She is pregnant again after suffering a stillbirth herself and both Lydie and Stephanie have a lot of unresolved feelings. Strong performances by both leads in a story with no easy answers.
